Students perform musical numbers and renditions at the 2019 PMC Recital entitled, “Trending” held on April 3 and April 10, 2019 at the school auditorium. The recitals are comprised of several programmes with performances from bands, orchestra, ensambles, and voices productions. It serves as a culminating activity for students after a year of music lessons with Zion's Praise Music Inc. (ZPMI).
Every year, students are given the opportunity to specialise in a musical instrument or practise in ZPMI's practical music course (PMC) held once every week. Students are then grouped up according to skill and assigned to a teacher who helps guide them through the process of learning music in their instrument or practise.
"We have recitals because it showcases the learnings of students for 10 months, it builds the confidence of the students, and it is an opportunity to worship the Lord through excellent music," says Jermaine Misterio, a representative from ZPMI. "Their performance not only builds confidence but at the same time, the process towards the recital trains the students how to work with others and be creative in coming up with an excellent performance."
PMC is offered as the school's music class for Grades 6 to 10 students.
